I LOVE Bronc Riders!!!

I have a confession to make.....

I LOVE BRONC RIDERS!!!

Yes, it's true.  After years of being in the closet about the matter....I'm here to publicly admit that I LOVE Bronc Riders.  I guess I've always had a soft spot in my heart for them.  The heat, the passion, the charm, the romance...even if it is directed towards a salty bronc....I LOVE IT!!!!

Bronc Riders are what you'd all like to think of as the CLASSY rodeo event.  (Even if I have know my fair share that were just buck wild and couldn't be trusted where woman were concerned)  Don't get me wrong, I've had run ins with a few bareback riders, and sorted off a pickman or two but in the end the Broncs still hold my heart ;)

What do I love about them....

•   LOVE when they stop to pick up a flank on their way back to the chutes after a ride
•  Love to see behind the bucking chutes filled with bronc saddles!
•  Love that most are handy!  In a pinch, they can fill in for a pickup man!
•  Love to see to see Cadillac's & Mini Vans stuffed with Salty Bronc Riders & Piles of Saddles
• Love to hear about the amazing Broncs they've matched up with and all the horses they hope to cross paths with in the future!
• Love rodeo road trips and fun traveling partners!
• Love a phone call just to find out about a Bronc Rein
• Love Rodeo reports about how the Bronc Riding went!
• Love to see a Bronc Rider charging to the front end of a beautiful bronc, beating her to the ground, and getting in perfect rhythm with her! 
• Love when a Bronc Rider works with a Bronc to pick her up & drop her!  Oh so beautiful!
• I LOVE LOVE LOVE every once in a blue moon when Bronc Rider & Horse come together in perfect harmony to create something bigger than themselves!  Perfect days for both man & horse, creating Bronc Riding MAGIC!  These are the rides that you never forget! (regardless of what the judges say)

Head Over Heels

Love!  Love to see people HEAD OVER HEELS in Love!  You know those couples ....that have been married 30 years.....still act like high school sweethearts....know everything about each other ...& LOVE each other anyway! 

WANTING a Love you can’t live without!  And they lived happily ever after!  I realized that anyone who wants to live happily ever after, better work at it daily.  I don’t want an easy button for relationships.

Half the battle is figuring out what I want.  (sometimes easier said than done)

• I DO WANT FIRE!
• I want to be Head Over Heels in love…I’ll even settle for MUTUAL infatuation to start with.  …lol…I’m a realist : )
• I want to be united & working towards a future together.
• I want someone that I will bend over backwards for, and they will do the same.

....Like lots of my other girlfriends.....I have an idea in my head....of what my type is or what I think I want.  When it comes right down to it...I don't care what color his hair & eyes are.  I've dated guys that I wouldn't have done a double take on the street when they walked by because they were so good looking.  I fell in love with their personalities and that complete package was irresistible!

I just want to be swept off my feet!  Yes, I concede that I might not know exactly what I need and I'm open to the perfect  person being different to what I expected & more than I could have ever dreamed of :)

Short Go

My 21 st birthday hit on rodeo weekend in our little college town.  It was a 3 day rodeo.  Two performances of long go and then a Short Go.  After the first performance was over, all the rodeo stock have been fed and put to bed…all the college kids headed out on the town!

I wish I could give more details but some have been lost in time.  I’m sure it was a great night, fun had by all.  When my fun card had been punched and it was time to go home.  A friend of my roommate, was ready to leave.  He was staying at our place so I gave him a ride home.  Well, a ride home turned into lets giggle and make-out all night. 

The next morning… I actually said to this nice young man….. “You were great for a Long Go, but today is the Short Go…and its time to move on to a different draw” 

Oh wow……yes, I really said it. I was young, fearless, and it was my 21 st birthday!  Bless his heart, this nice young man didn’t let it phase him and turned out to be one of my best friends throughout college and beyond.

Aww, this was only one of the bright spots in the 21st Birthday weekend bash......but that will be another story :)
